Horizontal or Vertical Rows 10/23/13

By M. J. Joachim

I’ve been playing with my yarn again, trying to create a nice all-over tablecloth pattern that’s easy to make quickly and easily. This is what I’ve come up with so far; I think it would also make a nice pillow overlay or perhaps a panel for a sweater.
Foundation:  Make a multiple of 12 chain + 3 more chain to count as 1st dc; double crochet in 4th chain from hook
Step 1:  Chain 1, dc in 2nd chain from hook
[Repeat Step 1 across row, ending with 1 dc in last chain]
Step 2:  Chain 3 (counts as 1st dc), turn; double crochet in next dc
Step 3:  Triple crochet in next chain loop, dc in next dc
[Repeat Step 3 across row, ending with 1 dc in top chain of last dc in row]
Step 4:  Chain 3, turn; dc in next dc
Step 5:  Chain 1, dc in next dc
[Repeat Step 5 across row, ending with 1 dc in top chain of last dc in row.]
Repeat Steps 2 – 5 for pattern.
Thank you for visiting Lots of Crochet Stitches. Please let me know how you might use this stitch pattern and what you think of my design.
