You are cordially invited to attend the Basic Stitch Crochet Blog Hop and join the party, taking place for the entire month of February. I’m the host, so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Mind you, I’m new at this (never hosted a blog hop before). Please be patient with me, while I attend to my learning curves. Thanks!
Rules
- Blog hop runs February 1 – 28, 2013.
- Create a crochet project using only basic stitches. It can be as simple as a motif, and as complicated as an entire afghan. You can design it yourself or follow a pattern. The only catch is that it must be made entirely of basic crochet stitches – no fancy ones allowed.
- Also, you must make a real motif or project – not a practice swatch.
- Share the love! Follow and link to this blog, so more avid crocheters and yarn enthusiasts can join the fun!
- Sign up now and link your crochet blog to the list below. Then, when your project is complete, come back to share the individual post showcasing your work.
- Please keep in mind, this is a blog hop. You are encouraged to visit and comment on as many links posted by participants as possible, throughout the month of February.
That’s all
there is to it. I do hope you’ll join us!

I like that stitch! Wish I could learn it.
ReplyDeleteThe sun in the crochet pic is made entirely of basic crochet stitches, which is why I chose to use it. Here's a link, so you can make one too: http://lotsofcrochetstitches.blogspot.com/2012/12/arizona-snowflake-crochet-motif-120212.html
DeleteI am late!

Thank you so much for the award. Had a chance to pop over there, via our link party...that's an adorable little elephant hat! Sooo cute! Thank you for signing up. Nice to meet you. It will be a pleasure getting to know each other in the blogophere, I'm sure:)
DeleteI'm not much with a needle and yarn, but I will post your blog hop on my blog! And thanks for stopping by and saying hello!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, kind sir! I really appreciate that! It's always fun to meet new people in the blogosphere. I'm sure we'll be running into each other again:) Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteI have joined in! All I know is basic stitches only:) you create lots of new ones daily:)Do I have to create a motif in the month of February only or can I share one of old patterns that I created?
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's a project made with basic stitches, you can link it here, Preeti. Of course, if you want to give yourself a bit of a challenge, you can make a new project this month. Thank you so much for joining in the fun:)
DeleteI signed up for the basic stitch crochet blog hop! Should be fun! Thanks for the invite!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, I'm not seeing your link, and I went to my Simply Linked account, and it's not showing up there either. Can you re-enter your link and info, so it shows up please. I'm not sure what happened. It's just not there.
DeleteYes, I will. I just looked after visiting one of the three on the link list and I don't see it either. I am putting in my email, www.sanderellas1.com which is the link to my blog, and the blog title...sanderellas crochet. I will do it again.
DeleteYour other site....lots of crochet stitches....awesome!! You are one busy lady! I keep visiting all of these places....and I will never get any hopping done! Ha Ha Ha.....so much fun and I am enjoying every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know how you feel. The blogosphere can be an amazing place...so much energy and fun here! I'm glad you like the Lots of Crochet Stitches website. As the blog grew, it just made sense to build the website, and it just keeps growing and growing - one stitch and pattern at a time. I added a new one over there today, btw - you can find it in the margin here, floral circular motif. Best of the evening to you:)
DeleteThere we go!! I am in like Flynn!! Thanks...now all I am going to be doing is visiting these blogs, enjoy and comment....and just post my own project on my own blog with details right? Also...can you tell me what WIP stands for....I keep seeing it everywhere and truly do not know the meaning...thank you!
ReplyDeleteWork in Progress...Glad your link is showing up now. Happy blogging, Sandy!
