Tunisian Crochet Pattern 100412

by M. J. Joachim
Today’s pattern works up quickly and uses a Tunisian hook to create a lacy all-over fabric. It is an original design…you know the drill – intellectual and copyright rules apply. Links, social networking and sharing are more than welcome.

Foundation Chain:  Make an even number of chain stitches (+1 more chain)

Step 1:  Insert hook and draw up a loop in 2nd chain from hook

Step 2:  Skip next chain, insert hook and draw up a loop in next chain.

[Repeat Step 2 across row, ending by drawing up a loop in last chain.]

Step 3:  Cast off 1 loop (yarn over, draw through loop or loops indicated in pattern) – this creates a firm edge; cast off 2 loops

Step 4:  Chain 1 (where chain was skipped in previous row); cast off 2 loops

[Repeat Step 4 across row, ending with chain 1 and casting off last 2 loops on hook, so that 1 loop remains on hook.]

Step 5:  Skip vertical bar; insert hook in next horizontal bar, yarn over, draw up a loop (cast on)

Step 6:  Skip next horizontal bar, cast on loop by inserting hook in next horizontal bar (directly left of next vertical bar)

[Repeat Step 6 across row, finishing row by casting on loop from last stitch in previous row.]
Repeat Steps 3 – 6 for pattern

That’s all for now, good peopleJ Thanks for visiting the Lots of Crochet Stitches blog!
