M. J. designed an “oopsy daisy crochet stitch pattern?” She came up with some novel idea of how to mix individual daisy stitches with double crochet, and crafted an all-over pattern for it?

Seriously, she did that for her fellow crocheters, followers and fans, just because she likes us so much?

Oh no, she didn’t! Oh yes, she did! Oh no, she didn’t! Oh Yes! I DID! You won’t believe how easy and fun it is to make this great Oopsy Daisy Stitch Crochet Pattern!

Foundation Row: Make a multiple of 5 chain (+ 5 chain)

Step 1: Double crochet in 4th chain from hook and in next chain.

*Note: last 3 chains count as 1st double crochet

Step 2: Make Daisy Stitch

A. Skip the first chain; draw up a loop in each of the next 4 chain stitches, keeping all 5 loops on hook

B. Yarn over, draw through all 5 loops on hook

C. Chain 1 to close daisy stitch

*** Daisy will naturally be vertical and lay to the right side; flip it left and down (horizontal), skipping next 2 stitches and making double crochet’s in next 3 stitches (Step 3 of pattern)

Step 3: Skip next 2 chains, dc in next 3 chains

{Repeat Steps 2 & 3 across row}

Step 4: Chain 1 (counts as 1st single crochet), turn; sc in next 2 dc’s, make 2 sc in top of daisy stitch

Step 5: Single crochet in next 3 dc’s, make 2 sc in top of daisy stitch

{Repeat Step 5 across row, ending with 2 sc’s in last 2 stitches and 1 sc in top of turning chain}

Step 6: Chain 3 (counts as 1st double crochet), turn; dc in next 2 stitches

Step 7: Make daisy stitch, skip next 2 stitches, dc in next 3 stitches

{Repeat Step 7 across row}

Repeat Steps 4 – 7 for pattern
